Not wishing to make this into a P*ssing contest but I can highly recommend the steak at Loetje aan't IJ at Amsterdam Marina. Not cheap but delicious.

Yep, a fine selection of draught and bottled Belgian beers, and actually, a very good burger! If you can put aside the "relaxed" service and decor, not a bad place to eat and get over a squally trip.

Yes, from Mike's PM I received it was purely a jokey observation - which went down the wrong way (so to speak) with me.
Here's a better picture which I hope looks less like the aforementioned.
Loetje is renowned in Amsterdam for its fillet steaks which are always served medium-rare regardless - the restaurant they have at the marina is always packed from lunchtime to late evening.
No connection - just enjoy drinking/eating there.
