Re: Where\'s this?

Very pretty, but it looks like long waders are needed once you've crossed the bridge. Somewhere in North Brittany, presumably.

Now, does that count as a Lakesailoring? I've never really been sure.

You'd have to consult Nicholas Parson's demon half brother, TCM, as he made up the rules and is thus the world authority. But. It usually involves saying thankyou to the wrong person, IIRC, so probably no, or not yet.

It's not Mornington Crescent is it?

Re: Where\'s this?

yup that looks like roscoff. where your moored on the visitors buoys opposite. that will be the landing stage then for the pleasure boat to isle de batz

Re: Where\'s this?

Are the 2 marks to the left of the tower (one higher up, one level with the top of the tower) dust marks on your sensor, or just the lens?

Re: Where\'s this?

Haven't a clue where it is but it reminds me of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. We went over the tunnel in a big bulk carrier a few years ago at night and it was the freakiest thing watching the headlights suddenly "submerge" and disappear from sight! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: Where\'s this?

Isn't America as they don't have cardinal marks. Probably somewhere in France.

Funny looking bulk carrier in the pic, where are all the hatches?

Re: Where\'s this?

Great now we know where it is. BUT WHAT IS IT FOR?

A pier that ducks down into the water /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: Where\'s this?

Um,how do I explain this? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It's a bit hard to take an aerial photograph while I'm actually onboard a ship, so I just copied a convenient one from the net. Make sense? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Re: Where\'s this?

Dust on the lens - gone now! (But easily dealt with using PS spot eraser, also useful for spotty friends) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
