My deepest thanks to you all, I'm genuinely touched, surprised too, I thought if my absence was noticed at all there'd be cheers !

I have only just felt able to get near the PC, and was told of this thread by an Anderson owner.

CVS is a truly nasty thing, a bit like seasickness ( but even worse ) - at first I'm afraid I may die, as it goes on I'm afraid I may not !

Still there is hope on the horizon and many people are a hell of a lot worse off than me.

Thank you all again very much, have a virtual pint on me for now, when we meet I'll try to convert it.

I know how much Andy appreciates everyone's concern, and how touched he is by all the messages of good will. But he is a long way from being out of the woods on this one yet, and I hear from him this morning (Saturday) that the respite that allowed his return to the forum was brief, and the CVS has worsened again in the last day or so.

He is having tests , but this is a slow process - particularly as some of the initial ones got lost! Those that did come back were Ok though.

so whatever form of prayer, karma, good vibes or good luck you believe in to help bring healing, - point some of it in his direction! He needs it just now.

my heartfelt thanks to you all, I can't say how touched I am and your vibes help a lot !

My state is currently fluctuating, but I was amused reading the blurb on CVS which NealB posted, that sounds like luxury compared to the version I'm blessed with, constantly sick turning myself inside out for several days and nights, just slumped by the loo with a glass of water, then I can only crawl to bed when it subsides.

However a lot of people would very gladly swap places with me...

CVS is supposed to be linked to migraine, but affecting the stomach instead of head; I tried migraine treatments but they stopped me breathing, which I guess is the ' we've never had any complaints ' sort of cure !

CVS is a blight but I can think of much worse ones.

That sounds like a waking nightmare. For all of us who enjoy time spent at sea, the fact of occasional seasickness is a dreaded, largely inescapable but thankfully brief consequence of bad weather and fuggy cabins...

...but suffering the same profoundly debilitating nausea for long periods whilst ashore, must make you feel pretty desperate.

I certainly hope it's over soon, mate.

I mis-read that, as "...by getting you out in a FB...", which I took to mean Fray Bentos. That'd be a quick way to turn anybody over inside.

FB can only mean FolkBoat, I have sailed a lot of the versions but I cherish memories of sailing one beauty ( Wind Willow ) in Falmouth...
