Where\'s Martynwhiteley??

Has the V8 Petrol got the better of him, and he is quite enjoying, and is now too embarrassed to show face?

Or has he set of sailing from York to the Med not wanting to be out done by tcm or MedDreamer, and is currently adrift in Biscay after running oot of fuel??

Who knows??

Re: Where\'s Martynwhiteley??

I was wondering the same thing myself, in fact I was going to start a thread on converting to diesel just to try and flush him out.

I think its actually his turn to buy me a drink at the Ship Inn so that might be why he is so quiet.

I thought the BMW engine thread might have stirred him into action as well.

To paraphrase the wonderous Delia "C'mon MW lets be havin' ya!"

Hanging head in shame....

Oh dear, sold the Rinker, I've been in denial, but I suppose I need to admit to my problem if I'm to ever recover from being boatless /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

To think I was so close to the magic 1000 posts when I wimped out.

Actually I think I did post at the backend of last year about my possible move to Teesside.Well, Plan A was to sell the house in North Lincs and relocate nearer to the North East. Plan B was to sell the boat and buy something with a bit more cabin space, that I could ‘lodge’ on in Hartlepool Marina, having realised that the Rinker was just too small for that, in particular very low head room in the heads.

So I thought I’d advertise both the House and Boat and see what developed.

Needless to say, the boat sold first, but coincidentally, my reward by the company for being ‘cooperative’ in taking up the running of the NE region, was a quick promotion to board level. Sounds great, but it means I have to work a lot harder, and spend more time on the road between our regional offices.

So erm… with boat money in the bank… erm I fell in love with a bright red little open top sports cruiser (and yes it’s PETROL Alistair – but only a 1.8 straight 4!)

The TT is making all the driving more enjoyable, but I do get a few looks when I put the fenders out and tie it to a lamp post in town. Not sure when I’ll fit the diesel, may go for one of those VW V10’s but it’ll need one ell of a power bulge.

So have ICC will travel, if any one’s short on crew………

Re: Hanging head in shame....

Well its good to hear from you again.

Sorry to hear the Rinkers gone, but then again mine might be too!
I get rid of the 2 seater sports car, and you buy one!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Congratulations on the Promotion, keep it going and i'm sure it won't be too long before you buy another boat.

Keep looking in on these parts too.

Take care.

Alistair.
