You are all extremely lucky btw no matter where you live, if only I could afford it I would move to absolutely anywhere in the area, well perhaps not Frinton :)

I think you are quite right. There are so many good places to live on the East Coast that you are spoilt for choice. It is only a matter of personal preference whether you prefer Maldon or Mersea, for example.
It also depends where you live as to what your viewpoint is, a grotty inner city might make you feel that all the East Coast is wonderful, while if you live somewhere spectacular it might seem mundane.
Lots of people from London like Essex and have a caravan here. Others move out permanently.
The most important thing is not to tell everyone about the East Coast so we can keep it to ourselves!

If you had your choice of E Coast locations? Ideally with reasonably priced deep water swinging moorings available nearby?

Oct to Easter - San Austin, Gran Canaria - probably without boat - well it is on the East of the Island ;-)
Easter to End Sept - Pin Mill or on boat cruising

Also need a few more ££ to make this plan work - any offers?

This is the way I see it in Ibiza. Accommodation is dirt cheap in the Winter in Ibiza, and with little or no heating costs, it is almost cheaper to live in Ibiza during the winter than it is living in the UK, especially if you live oop north in the UK

Where did you take her ahore? Looking at the slips and yards we coudn't get anywhere near with our 22 ft beam..

On one occasion I brought her ashore on the hard opposite the Yacht Club, and on another occasion the yard brought her ashore next to the Life boat station.

There is also Clarke and Carter opposite the Victory - They could lift you out and put you in their boat park
