We'll give it to Pye_End, it's the artificial island on the edge of the Maplins, just over 2 miles from the nearest mainland shore and nearly 3 miles south of the Havengore entrance. Looked like the South Seas on that day. It was an experiment years ago when some twerps were thinking about an airport on the Maplins. My chart shows it never covering, but we watched it do so.

We used to call it Bun Island - the artificial one off the Maplins created to test the silting/erosion in the days of the Maplin Airport proposals.

I did go there once for a BBQ but I understand that it now has dire warnings to keep off.
