Where to sell a RIB and Outboard and what price is reasonable?

This is a genuine question as I really dont know the true value of these items.

The rib is a 2007 Zodiac 310 Yacchtline R. Its in good overall condition.
The outboard is a Yamaha 9.9 2 stroke short shaft in excellent condition again from 2007.

I'm not sure ebay is the right place for these - would boatandoutboards be a better bet?
In terms of value I have found similar 4 stroke Yams for anywhere from £800 to £1250. I am told the 2 stroke is more desirable as it can be easily converted to 15Hp. I dont have any service history (do you get that with outboards?. Should I get it serviced?

Any guide as to value and where to sell greatly appreciated. I have an idea as to what I think sounds right but I havent included that as I know this already looks too much like an advert, which it really isnt.

My guess would be £2k the lot, collected. Why not eBay?
 
A classified ad on eBay is the way I'd go. Is it on a trailer? If not then you limit the number of potential buyers. I'd guess the engine will go for around the £750 mark, it is almost 10 years old, and the rib maybe a grand, but the issue will be transport if no trailer. If you have a trailer then I'd put the whole package on for £2K. Some might go higher, but I'd rather be realistic and get a reasonably quick sale.

I would not get the engine serviced, as long as it starts and runs well with a good tell tail then I'd be quite happy. A service will probably set you back £150 or more, and if it ain't broke, why fix it?

I've given up on boatsandoutboards, too many scammers there and a painful site to look at. Just pay your £20 or so for a months classified ad on eBay, if that doesn't work then you can auction it.
 
Thanks everyone. I thought ebay fees might be quite high plus I was comcermed about scammers.

I forgot they did classified adverts, so good suggestion. I dont have a trailer - with that in mind would it be worth listing as 2 seperate adverts (since the OB can be easily collected with a car)? Maybe offer a discount if both items purchased?

I think my values are broardly in line with here - I was thinking £650 for the rib and £1100 for the OB based on the fact everyone is telling me 2 strokes are super desirable, but perhaps Im a little strong on the motor.

With a classified as on ebay you can put what you want in the advert so you could list them together as the ad title, then explain in the ad the separate pricing if somebody wants either item.

I've just spent a while searching for a suitable rib and outboard, I think your pricing may be a little high on both but, as ever, they're worth what someone would pay.
If still in the market, I'd be looking to pay around £900 for the OB and £500 for the rib but maybe I'm just tight! (I was certainly looking for the cheapest combo)
An ebay ad certainly seems to give a lot more exposure than boats and outboards (for lower priced items, anyway)
I've had my old boat on B&O for around 3 Months now with a few enquires and 1500 views compared with 500 views, 20 watchers and a viewing this evening after putting it on ebay just one day ago.

I'd also post on rib.net forums, it's the perfect target audience and you may well get someone locally.

Kieron at RibShop (at Eastlands boatyard) might be a good call too, he may well know someone who's after one.
