"O" rings by part number

I always take the "O" ring along to my local hydraulic supply/repair shop and they can usually find an equivalent on their shelves. Worth trying?

Nitrile o-ring cord is readily available on ebay for around £1 / meter, many diameters from 1mm upwards. Cut it to length and superglue the ends together to make any size ring that you need.
That's what seals my pump. IIRC, mine is from 2mm material, but I'm not certain.

The part number is a speedseal part number so you need to buy from them (and I have a hunch there are a number of different sized o-rings lurking behind that part number depending on the pump that the speedseal was designed for).
