Where to buy euros?

I have used TransferWise. Rate was decent.

Remember you need to break the transaction in two.

Getting euro and then handing them over.

The extent of issue re handing them over will ( to me anyway ) be who is the broker and are they reputable.

If not ( or you don’t know them ) you may need a local intermediary.

My experience of TransferWise and others is the transfer is not instant. I bank with Santander in Mallorca. It turns to arrive next day. Hurricane has a different experience.

It could well be my bank !

I was in Finland and had to pay the caterers for my daughter's wedding.
Transferwise - All done in minutes - IIRC it was done in 11 minutes - from my UK bank to the caterers Finland bank.

I use Transferwise & is usually instant & excellent rates, it's the banks in Mallorca, they seem to run international transfers 'overnight' not live!

Another vote for Transferwise. I used to use HiFX but this is a far better service. They don't hang on to your money for 24 or 48 hours like HiFX seem to do. The transferred/exchanged funds hit the target account immediately and they offer the best fx rates in town.
