Where to buy 2.5mm² 2-core flex in black?

I've generally used these guys: http://www.iem-services.co.uk/searc...e+Electrical+>+Cable+-+Marine+-+TINNED+2+Core . Unfortunately, they've recently stopped selling tinned cable by the metre. Not too much of a problem for me as I've decided I use enough of the common sizes to be worth buying by the reel, but a pity for someone in Nigel's position.

They do sell un-tinned by the metre, and I guess this would be adequate for non-installed wiring like a drill.

EDIT: This is another supplier I've used in the past: http://kojaycat.co.uk/epages/950000...Flat_Twin/25mm_Tinned_Flat_Twin_35030_29_Amps

The stuff I linked to is round and fits your spec.

Perhaps its the wrong shade of black

Actually the colour coding of the conductor insulation is wrong for 12 volt use!

I've just repaired my 12V drill and I want some 2.5mm² 2-core flex in black. Must be round, and no need to be tinned.

Any suggestions where I can get 2-3 metres of this?

You don't say whether you are at home or abroad?

If in UK try TLC (The Lighting Company), they sell by the metre but for 2.5mm it is only three core:

Or try Furneaux Riddall, Portsmouth UK:

.

I run my 12 volt Ryobi boat drill on a two cable from a "retired" 240 volt vacuum cleaner.
This is designed for about 5 amps i suppose and has the highly desirable property of being very floppy.
This makes it very easy to handle and wrap up.
It also cost nothing.
I havent measured the voltage drop, the drill performs as i would expect.

Cheers
PS not Tinned - not got the right insulation colours!
