It seems the two boats in the AC are pretty well matched, the slight difference being in the skipper/crew. But where are Russ Couts and Brad Butterworth going to live when it's all over? Are they going to go back and sit in an Auckland pub, top lip stuck in a Steinlager telling sea stories to the locals?

>>>...one of those Swiss Army knives with a thing for getting horses' hooves out of boy scouts, that sort of thing.

Don't diss the Swiss Army Knife. Nobody has defeated the Swiss Army since it was invented! They still have National Service in Switzerland. It would be a trifle unfortunate if they get called away for basic training with the First Knife Battalion when the races are on.

As New Zealanders, they should be quite at home in Baaaaasle!

More seriously, won't they spend the next four years living the life of Reilly on the Costa Smerelda preparing for the defence?

>I thought it was "Boy scouts out of horses hooves"<

That's the 'straight' version.

Be prepared!
