Have they dredged it recently - last time we were there it was scarcely navigable . All we needed was 1m! Love the place to bits and miss the Badger Ales
Oh! Watchet
Due to go out this spring apparently. Engines changed from 3 Merlins to a couple of Seagulls (?), and when I saw her on Sunday, the marina said that he was going to do day trips.
When visiting Watchet I allways make it clear to the staff that I need to leave as soon as the gates open to get some flood tide to push us back up to Cardiff.
They will direct you to one of the deeper berths. If you go in as soon as the gates open you know you can get out at the same tide height on the flood when you leave. Its when you go in near HW that you need to be carefull.
I allways find the staff at Watchet friendly and helpfull.
2nd the vote for the marina staff, we broke down off Watchett last year and had to be towed in /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif all the staff and peeps there were very helpful! (not to mention the RNLI!)
