I'd say Bristol channel, maybe west of Clevedon or outside Portishead marina. The far boat visited us at CYC last year and I've seen it in the Cumberland basin.

Well it's not that difficult as I broke a fitting on my main sheet last year and nearly ended up on the mud while fixing it! Not something you forget in a hurry! Also I've often thought of using one of the bouys to avoid lining the pockets of the rip off marina owners!

I'm ashamed that i lived in Portishead for about 40 years, and didn't recognise it. Mind you, my sailing was off Sugar Loaf Beach in Mirrors, Miracles & a Laser so I didn't venture up as far as the Marina.

I drove round the Marina area the other day, it hasn't half changed!
