I'm touched that you missed me chaps. Not in prison but moving to the other side. I mean sailing.

But don't talk about me badly because I have dreams of dinghy sailing and camping on the upper Thames. Perhaps with oars or even an engine sometimes. Then when I know what I'm doing I still want to get all the way down river to my mother at Maidenhead.

I lurve me big boat, but there's something about messing about in little boats and camping. Bit of an adventure really!

Forgive me father(s) for I plan to sin! There are a few reasons why I plan to sell my lovely little cabin cruiser, (that's not an ad by the way), but the primary one is just practical. I used to have a job based 20 minutes from the mooring which finished at 15:00 on Fridays. It meant I could use and look after the boat frequently and still be home to my young family for 09:00 on Saturday mornings. I now have a different job which is over an hour away from the mooring, more demanding and finishes after 17:00 on Fridays. It's a better, more rewarding job but I can't look after my boat properly and be a good husband and father.

I took a couple of sailing courses last summer and reckon I can involve my young son in that at weekends for less money and commitment. At least with a dinghy on a trailer or even just using one from the club for now.
