Where is everybody ?

As a shag pad, "yeah baby"

but a little dark and claustrophobic for the rest of the time.

Dont know where you spend your time, but we are outside in the cockpit for most of ours with a refreshment to hand.

The only dark space is the midships which is ideal for some shut eye and nice and cool in the summer.

.......Cos we get so much good weather in this country!

We where very lucky last year and four of the six weeks we had on holiday aboard where blessed with excellent weather. In fact it was far too hot when we went to Loughborough (we go to all the exciting places!!) and on a few days we did only a couple of locks and a few miles before retreating to the shady delights of the local pub.

You just need to pick the right weeks aboard. We even managed good weather in March this year when we went to Hull. So by my reckoning the second bank holiday in May and the whole of that week should be great weather.

That'll be the T-Cut then ;-)

Two coats of professionally applied marine polish and a StarGard might have lasted longer than two weeks.....LOL

(Awaits retaliation)

Ah you can stop fretting now. After a quick wipe down on Saturday Cal is shining away nicely again. The wax has worked a treat and the muck/scum mark around the water line slipped straight off and the salt spray washed off easily as well.

Shes looking very smart now since we scrubbed the hoods as well.

Hows the caravan fairing up?

I didnt think you could polish a t**d?

Cannot get the jacuzzi to heat up to the right temperature, will have to make do with the Sauna this weekend.

Now where did I put my tablets....nurse?

NURSE, NURSE, NURSE..................

No he really needs those tablets now!!!!!

Sadly for you, the 'Caravan' has six proper beds with full headroom, two separate heads, one with shower, separate galley, as one wouldn't dream of cooking on ones living room, would one.

Also Two helms, and you can walk all the way around.

Security wise, proper locking doors, not a mere millimetre of tent-material.

You see, most people prefer 'Caravanning' to 'Camping'

I tried a boat very similar to yours, and it was pants... ROFLMAO

when you say you tried a boat very similar and it was pants, are you on about the rio sports cruiser you had. If so, it is no way similar to a sealine S23. I should know because we looked at that boat you had when it was up for sale (may have been before you brought it), and I can see why owning that would put you off sports cruisers!
But just because you brought the wrong boat, can't see why you feel the need to slag of other peoples boats.
Different people have different boats for different needs.
I for one am very happy with our choice of boat, which I suppose is why after 3 years, we still own her - and haven't felt the need to change our boat 3 times in that period of time.

I also looked at a Sealine though! LOL

Same thing, tawdry living quarters, single head, awful little bedroooms....and all that canvas to deal with, or worse still, replace every few years at two grand a throw. Not good for the upper Thames. (Note title of forum 'Thames')

I consider a 30 foot Broom in immaculate order to be an upgrade from the last few boats.

Now do me a favour eh, and stop being a ****. You didn't exactly step in and prevent your fellow Sportcruiser owner from enjoying his 'Caravan' jibes did you? So why step in at this late stage?

CX is clearly enjoying the banter every bit as much as I am, and doesn't need you playing Mother.

:)

You can

You can run off with a persons wife/husbands
you can cast doubt about his/her sexual prowess
you can sneer at his/her politics
you can hint at her lack of intelligence
yu can even say he/she /it cannot spel(see below)
you can even step on his blue suade shoes or her kitten heels
but criticise their boat and......................................:(

Why would we need six beds, two heads, two helms etc. There are only the two of us. We prefer having "rooms" we can actually use on a daily basis. The hoods are a small price to pay for all the outside space you gain and a far from in need of replacing even after seven years of use. Its all about the maintenance and upkeep of them. Much the same as with anything else.

Maybe you have bought the wrong boats in the past, but it neednt mean that someone else who has bought a sports cruiser is wrong. We and the other owners of these craft cant all be wrong. The S23 has proven, for us to be the right boat and after 20 months of owning her we still dont want to change and cant imagine changing in the near future. She does everything we need her to.

You would also do well to note the title and description of the forum "The Thames Forum A place to discuss boating issues specific to the Thames and other inland waterways"

The boat is fine for use on the inland waterways and has never let us down doing so yet. Its also nice to have the choice of going on more adventurous trips should we so wish.

Can we have a little less of the "him" as well. He is a she!!!!
