where do i buy this VP part ?

vp KAD 44 EDC rev sensor, part number 3944124

Engine no: 2204408292

i can see several for sale on the internet, with various plugs

can some one let me know which one will fit my kad please

tnx
If you have had it out then just try cleaning it , you may find it’s just dirty .
if you have had a bellows failure or flooded engine bay the flywheel will be rusty causing a no signal effect , that’s sadly engine out .

Ive got to say this , Why are you asking for advice all the time when your paying what we believe a Volvopenta agent to do the work ?

tnx its the 'Bosch' bit i should have added to my google search

the VP agent is baffled, and will be back to look at the boat later in the week
no bellow failure, boat is quite dry and no significant rust on the flywheel
there are some bits of sticky black grease about and that may have interferred with the sensor, or it is just 20 yrs old ....
yes i can wait for the VP dealer, but i want my boat back in the water and working again
if i am risking £40 for a part to try that is worth it in my opinion

i'd be delighted to pay volvopaul if he covered my area but as far as i know he does not
there are only two service places near my yard, one is too busy the other is the local VP dealer

I thought you'd checked it already (which would have emailed removal)?

no not checked yet, VP man v busy, this is not the best time of the year to have an engine issue :(

the flywheel is at the back of the KAD so tough to reach (i did not realise this earlier, i am no mechanic)
guess the sensor can be checked wherever the connector is ?

Possibly corroded plug , the early 44 has a plug near the sensor , terminal goes green , later kad 300 sensor has a length of cable with a plug that joins behind the intercooler to keep it away from bad air . The speed sensor can give bad or no starting if the signal is bad .

tnx Paul, VPengineer is going to check the sensor tomorrow
it starts just fine, not revving though, so you would not suspect the sensor ?
is it possible to replace this when reaching over the back of the 44 ?
