In the previous thread I guessed that it is actually worth £40k as a project

id be staggered if anyone paid more than £20k for the boat as salvage
You'd need an open cheque book to put it right. The only reason I'd consider buying it is for the parts that could be sold. The thought of restoring it would give me nightmares.
There's a fire damaged Sealine on ebay

As with the boat mentioned above there seems to be little to salvage other then the engines ?

I'm amazed how people will present things for sale. Spend a day or three cleaning that up and it could look a lot more attractive. As it looks now it's scrap and a disgusting mess.
How they expect to sell that I'll never know.
I saw this one at Highway Marine in Sandwich, Kent two weeks ago....looked like the fire started in the galley, as the hull looks undamaged. Not sure if I would like to take this on as a project though.
Repairing any of them cost effectively depends on the purchasers skills & time availability clearly the t43 is overpriced as it seems you can buy an up & running boat for the same money. If it was at say £40k then CR have estimated £35k for them to do the repair that makes the finished item £75k which is a little saving.
But if the buyer can do the repairs himself to a good standard then he is probably looking at 10-15k for materials plus his time making the boat finished cost £55k which is a nice tidy saving
The owner also has the benefit of knowing every last inch of his boat & the boat will benefit from lots of new stuff furnishings etc which would otherwise be starting to look tired in an old boat
I can see the attraction of buying the boat but obviously the price would need to be right so you end up with a cheap boat for your trouble & considerable time but as stated above more like 40k than 85k
