Does anyone know where I can get a 12v plug to fit this? Tried Maplin and ebay but maybe I'm not searching correctly???

Thanks,

Simon

Looks right but gave them a call and they don't think so - I may just try buying one. Meanwhile other suggestions welcome.

Looks like it might work upside down, as long as the prongs are the right size and angle.

Does +ve & -ve, (polarity), matter with 12v stuff?

Maplins might do something?

Polarity with 12V stuff ?? Absolutely as it's DC .... That's why the plugs and scokets are handed to ensure you plug in correctly.

As to the plug the OP wants ... Maplins or try Caravan Shop.

The Aussie plug is 15mm across the pins at the wider part and 10mm across at the narrow part. Hope this helps.

Check out the overseas adaptor in Menzies and boots....Some do one that is for the USA and OZ the Oz ones have the flat pins like that and in some adaptors you can twist between parallel and ang;led...Cewrtainly looks like an Oz plug would fit.

Caravan shop is your best bet, there are a few specialised 12V plugs and sockets that only appear in caravans. They mostly deal with polarity by angling the pins.

Seconded, looks like the standard ones I had in the old camper van and subsequently fitted into a couple of boats.
