Try emailing pbo@futurenet.com . I've just looked in the latest pbo and can't see any mention about back issues / articles; years ago they had a department for them.

Maybe someone has the article ? Lots tend to keep them and recycle the magazine which might be another source?

Our Maritime Museum (Sydney) has a, very good, library with back issues of YM and PBO - does the UK have an equivalent?

You might be able to get it online as part of a free trial with Readly:

Seem to have plenty of back issues.
Cancelling can be an issue with these free trials. Not used it myself.
