I need a new halyard bag for the mast. I have a Blue Performance bag, but it has been destroyed by exposure to the sun because its made of fabrics with poor UV resistance. First to fail were the straps holding it on, then the stuff its made of started to disintegrate. I need a source of supply of about a metre of Sunbrella or similar fabric to make a new bag.

I have been using Sampson, instead of Sunbrella. Much cheaper and the lady who makes awnings says it lasts much longer, especially in black. Its 3 oz dacron saturated in PVC. I use it for sail covers, berth cushions ,windvane, etc.

Sunbrella is trademarked and only they can sell it all the others are fake usually with an added name. It is the longest lasting for UV damage. https://www.sunbrella.com/

This is absolute rubbish as I have told you before.

Sunbrella is widely available in the UK and Europe from the distributors shown. Just about every sailmaker or canvas worker uses it, or has access although many of course prefer competitors offerings.

If people here believe it is genuine then go ahead and buy it, we bought it from America.

You have failed to establish what you call "fake", last time by confusing the the name of the European distributor which is a highly respected French company and now claiming that adding the colour name means they are fake.

You really do not have a clue what you are talking about. Sunbrella is widely available in the UK from distributors and sailmakers - as it is in Europe. I have bought in both Greece and UK without any problems. You do not have to buy in the US.

So, once again suggest you stop peddling this nonsense about "fake" Sunbrella - nobody believes you.
