Part of me wants to gloat thinking it serves him right for fleeing our bank holiday weather for the Med. But the other part of me wants to gloat thinking it serves him right for fleeing our bank holiday weather for the Med ;)

Just seen the forecast for tomorrow (22 degrees and 3 knots of breeze) so have booked the day off and will be heading to Newtown early in the morning. Lunch on board, swim in the afternoon, supper at the pub and a cosy nights sleep. Head back on Saturday morning for the Bursledon regatta... its a tough life sometimes.

Well it has to be said, since Thursday of last week we've been on the boat, bank holiday weekend on Folly reach watched James's Seabird fly by, guessed you were on your way to Island, or Newport, you wouldn't have seen us as we were shore side of the pontoon with this small ship

on the outside making us invisible to any passing boats. Saturday night dinner at the Folly great service as ever, saw the finish of the race, back over to mooring Monday afternoon ate on board.

This week the weather has been improving day on day,Wednesday was blissful as was today sunshine and a sea breeze, Tomorrow moving across to my new berth, Saturday a trip up the Beaulieu is planned for lunch at the Mont and on the ebb a touch of worm drowning planned off of Seagull island.

I think retirement is the best thing since sliced bread, keep paying your taxes boys and girls,

best regards.:D

A long way from where I was before!

I'd forgotten how much I used to enjoy these forums, as I haven't looked in for ages. I used to be in North East England, but now live and work in Charleston, South Carolina, after selling everything and buggering off! Redundancy was the spur after 14 years with the last firm, but I now work on Kiawah Island in a great job (not much money, but something I really enjoy doing) and we just bought this to stick behind the 4.0L SUV :D
