Where are you now?

Right now sitting in the marina debating whether to venture to the airshow or not. Looking a little dull and feeling decidedly chilly!

Newton Ferrers on the river Yealm. Who would ever have thought this little gem was hidden away in here when viewed from the sea!

We may never move :)

It is indeed a beautiful venue. Are you on a buoy or one of the VPs there? How did you find the pilotage in? We have not been yet by boat (visited by car a few times), but are planning it.

Getting in here goes against every fibre of your being. You have to trust the charts as you go over the bar, you're convinced you're going to ground on rocks. Once over the bar a yacht had very thoughtfully anchored up smack bang in the route of the leading marks.

Once inside they had thoughtfully left a visitors bouy waiting for us to pick up I wish I could post up a photo from my phone just to make you all hate me :)

We are now tied to a buoy at Dittisham, left Brixham this morning (why is it as soon as you remove the canopys it starts to rain) had a smooth run round apart from rain, been in the ferry boat most of the afternoon and now the sun is shining so have decided to stay here for the night.

Henry, was great to meet you yesterday morning in Brixham, you have a better coffee maker on board than most cafes I have been in, hope you have a safe trip back to the Solent and hope to catch up at SIBS.

On the hard in Penton Hook Marina trying to sort out drive shafts to get back in the wet!! We have made freinds with some other boat owners here and every time we get back i feel a bit dicky:mad:, because we are on the hard im not used to the boat not moving!

Made it back to Weymouth in one piece. "Crazy" from here moored up along side. That's 2 faces to names this trip !!

Back to the Solent tomorrow hopefully and then getting ready for the powerboat racing over the bank holls (Cowes Torquay / Portland). We are a marshal boat this year which will be good, the event which got me into boating.

Henry :)

Henry, sorrry to correct you but I must have been the first forum face you met way back in 2006 when you had just bought your boat, you were alongside us on the trotts at Yarmouth (phantom 46) not mine though.

Oh yes! I'd forgotten about that. To be fair I'm not sure if we spoke, if we did it was a could of words across the water. Either way I'll take it as a 3!!!!

I feel as though I'm getting through the forum at a cracking pace now!!

Henry :)

Arrived in Maslinica on the island of Solta off the Croatian coast today. I'd be gobsmacked if there are any forumites here!

Henry we did speak, remember I was the good looking one!!

I read loads of posts where someone says, "oh, I was there as well that day" or something along those lines. So I wonder if we should have a thread whereby we list our "live" locations in the event that another forumite wants to say hello or borrow a cup of sugar.

Of course it may be that you want to hide away and not get noticed!

Possibly listing your intended port of call may even result in an impromptu cruise in company.

I'll start the ball rolling:

Brixham marina visitor's pontoon. A somewhat forced stay en route from Teignmouth to Salcombe.

Set off and the sea was horrible. Thought it was just the tide around Teignmouth entrance but sadly not. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Henry :)

Had just wandered over to nick some bandwidth from JFM on Match when I saw this - arrived in antibes 2 days ago after a long trip via gib and malta.

Sadly I was logging on to book a flight home, still a 6 week trip was nice :)
