When to Service

Is it better to have the engine and outdrive service at the end of this season or the beginning of next.

The boat is coming out at the end of October for some repair work and I thought I would have all servicing done then and put it back in, or would it be better next spring (got to come out in October for the repair work anyway)

Better done early, then it sits through the winter in clean oil.

Totally agree, oil with water in it over the winter is not a good idea, or engine oil with all the combustion acids left in, Baaaaad!
