June-November. The peak is August-October. November used to be pretty clear, but there have been one or two late ones in the last two years.
I don't know the exact risk of being caught out by a tropical storm or hurricane in BVI in a particular week in November, but it must be pretty low, maybe one in a 100. But if there were one anywhere in the Caribbean, you might be grounded as a precautionary measure.
June to november is the "season" ..just keep an ear on the forecasts everyday, know where the hurricane holes are,if one comes your way you really need to be in a "safe" anchorage/marina/mangrove bed two to three days before it gets there otherwise you may not be able to get in, incidentally most marinas will tell you to leave in the event of a trs or sign a waiver for any damage you do to the dock!!!!!.... hope this helps some, the best time to cruise over here is when every one has cleared out for the"season"........keith
There was a late-season hurricane active during the first week of the ARC (25 Nov - 1st Dec) so you can't be sure of being clear in Nov. Stats say any given island gets hit once in 20 years so your chances are pretty good of being OK and with current forecasting accuracy you'll have time to get the boat back to base and clear out long before one hits.

We were there early November 2000 and had fabulous weather. Having said that, there was a hurricane there, I think in Nov 99. November is said to be at the end of the hurricane season so the risk is reducing. Clearly the later you can leave it the safer.
Have fun!
