Bit of a thread drift - but how deep would the tow cable be in the centre? could you have sailed over it safely?

Wouldn't try it myself. Not that good at skipping.

Wasn't being towed backwards.
It's actually a big barge and the accommodation block is right on the bow.

OK so I failed to challenge the master last time we'll try another tack.
Being a boat yardy type and currently in the process of buying a new travel hoist I smiled when seeing what they were using at a prominent yard last year and wondered why we were spending 100k when a bit of stick, a double block with a becket and a length of wire obviously suffices elsewhere.

Anyone care to guess where it is?
