Whats this electrical terminal pin called please?

…and sorry for terrible pic quality - phone camera died and had to use ancient laptop camera. Crimps are 22mm long, and 4mm at the widest part. Pin is 1.5 x 6mm. The plug that holds pins says “Honda B” on it. Obviously, the word ‘Honda’ is not helping my searches much. If it’s any help they’re from a Furuno radar plug:

This its not much use to you but:

When we originally installed our ICOM SSB (about 30-40 years ago) an M800 and. aerial tuner the unit came with all the required wires and a plastic connector (like the multi pin one you have in your picture). It also came with a set of pins to be used in the connector. I assume it came like this as feeding a connector that size through conduit would be impossible. There used to be similar devices on early generation computers. I cannot believe Furuno will have used a unique device, only for their radar, and there were, then, plenty of other applications for such devices.

We continue to use the same SSB and the same connector.

It was not difficult to assemble the connector.

Maybe have a look at ICOM SSB installation instructions (though they may well have changed significantly in the intervening years).

I assume you have contacted Furuno?

Don't you have a chain of shops dedicated to the electronic enthusiast where they sell all sorts of unusual devices?

You have been back too long - Dick Smith closed - Jaycar is still with us, since 1981, and they have many outlets, over 100.. Jaycar was 'famous' for their ultrasonic AF kit here on YBW

A quick google search turned up some others.

Odd that we have what appears to be a thriving industry (looks of course can be deceptive) and there is not the same retail outlet in the UK. One of our granddaughters, studying software engineering at Sydney U, has just bought an Arduino board and an accelerometer (from Jaycar) and is building me a device for underwater measurements.

Hi If you google Honda Connectors it leads to HTK Europe in Swindon. If you email the pictures to them they may be able to help.
It may be tricky to crimp the pin onto the cable without a special crimp tool and it will need to be tidy so that it sits well in the blue plastic holder.

always located in a secondary back street or in my case under a railway arch with no nearbye parking.
Pop in and buy a few 10k resistors or capacitors , mebbee a diode or two etc. Staff knew exactly what you needed.
Came out clutching a little paper bag of bits , wonderful source of geeky stuff.
Bought and hollowed out out buy some vulture outfit who stripped it bare, the ghost still haunts the high street selling overpriced xmas lights.
