And who normally does it?

I don't mind, washing the boat down, putting covers on, sorting warps or cleaning the inside or out but I do not enjoy cleaning the bilges or un blocking smelly heads.
Oh yes and do not like removing live or dead things/creatures from the sea water intake filters.

Apologising to the owner of the (insert name of very expensive yacht) you've just T-boned in the marina.

Presumably it will be me when it happens!

The biggest mistake I made was in being quite a lot smaller than HWMBO. So when the aft loo blocked it was me that had to disassemble it, and subsequently replace the smelly pipe that empties the nasties out of the boat. And it went a very silly way, to my mind, that involved me being upside down in a very rough cupboard so that I ended up with badly skinned arms. Which hurt for days, and no sympathy.
Also had to refill the closed water system in the engine when sailing to windward at an impossible angle, and then got moaned at because I spilt a few drops into the bilges!!
Those are horrid jobs on boats.

Jimi. Just do it the easy way. Undo an injector pipe, throw a rag over it and wizz the engine round. It will be going in no time. Then tighten the pipe up of course.

Jimi, change it for a Beta - both the fuel pump etc and the impeller are sensibly at the front.

I will do anything but I hate making the tea - especially when there are 10 people on board, and the cup are dirty and scattered around the cockpit. And some want sugar, others dont, "not too much milk", "milky", "Earl Grey", "builders", "coffee if thats ok", "black", "half a spoon of sugar"....if you get my drift....

Re: Sorting headsails in big seas

Taking the kit off her at the end of the season, that is bloody depressing!
