Whats the weather doing this summer?

Not been on here for a while so dont know if this has been discussed.
Sold my boat a couple of months ago but have to buy another, but rather reluctant if the damn weather is going to be rubbish again.
Anyone have any long term forecasts for this year, in particular the south coast(poole) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Met office can't get it right, so here goes. The ThymeSeeker Forecast.
From 5th July a high pressure system will settle across Northern Europe. The blocking pattern will maintain for a minimum of three and a maximum of eight weeks.
Winds will be non existent and day breezes at a maximum of F2.
Seas wil be oil slicky and all mobos are directed to take time off to take advantage of this exceptional weather pattern.

It will apply this year a bit earlier (Mid-May) and for a lot longer (Late September)!

As the previous post states. "We are owed a good season"

You seen what the wind is doing already this year? It's a cookie cut of last year. I agree that the sun appears to have been about a bit more but what scares me is that we see that bloody westerly jetstream continue to push across the country for much of the year. That'll be it for me if it does... :S

Everyone cross everything! My farmer friends said because we've had a really nice cold snap it'll be a great summer. That's supersticious nonsense in my view /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

On a positive note, it's lovely today, and I'm going to service my new outboard and try it on my river! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It used to be a couple of years ago that there were a few sites speculating out to maybe 6 months.... no one seems to be doing that now... guess they got bitten over the last two years!!
