What\'s the record

Looking at the number of posts on the fox hunting thread and wondering what the record is for the most posts and was it an NB?

I don't know - there was a funny a while back along the lines of a popular Radio 4 show which had well over 100 - maybe 200 posts.
However this thread now has 2 posts and depending on how mishceivous people are feeling today - I think it could have alot more soon!

Amazing that something so 'off topic' can get generate so much activity. As a rural person I am keeping quiet on the matter for fear of reprisals.

The Mobo chaterin classes had a thread for a trip to Whareham which logged well over three hundred (I think seven or eight boats and twety five or so people attended and got smashed, nearly the same numbers returning . . .) and the Web-site News & Feed-back thread on the "The One Place On This Site Not To Talk About Boats" forum is up to astronomical figures.
Huntin comes a close third though, I'm very pleased to say.

Apart from replies, I think it would be interesting to see how many people open a response to read it. This statistic is given on an American forum; eg for hurricane Ivan some 200-odd replies but 8000 viewings.

The long way unfortunately, no easy way to sort by thread length. Came across some cracking old posts as I scrolled through though, and nearly got distracted reading them

Shame on you Brendan /forums/images/icons/mad.gif. You know very well that the idea is not to read posts but just to post the first thought that comes into ones head that seems as if it may be remotely related to the topic (or not) and regardless of whether you know anything about it or not.

I thought from most posts that people just posted on what they supposed? or had read about, or just had a vague idea about

Aw come on Brendan, most people who post a firm opinion don't even have a vague idea. As for me I have absolutely no idea and always assumed everyone else was in the same boat.

Yes I just supposed I knew what you said without even reading your post. Problem is that cats have ESP so I must get into the habit of posting responses that are the opposite of what I supposed or else I will continue to be accused of actually reading threads.
