What\'s the record?

Does anyone know the record length for a thread on this forum? Davydine's Colregs thread at 212 (213 if you count the original) must be close, but is there a longer one? If so, what was the subject?

I'm sure that there has been one longer than that, but I think it was a deliberate attempt at getting the record, so there was a lot of trolling/waffling going on.

However I'm sure we all know a man who could provide the info :

There was the 1000 post thread. But as you say it was a record attempt and featured people who would not normally countenance posting rubbish. Such as my good self, for instance.

At one point I went through and made a list of the longest threads on the forums, but that was ages ago and completely out of date now, and some of the longest threads disappeared in old forums

Now we all know how to attract the attention of three forumites who have over 60,000 posts between them /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'd forgotten about the deliberate one, which probably shouldn't count as it was artificially kept going.
