Sorry if you think this post is meaningless, or a waste of time... But......

Am heading of tonight to stay at a watersports centre for the weekend as i said in an earlier post SWMBO and i are doing our Powerboat level 2 This weekend.

The Lady that i booked with at the centre said all i was reguired to bring was a Towel and a change of clothing.....

But i feel other thing may be required, e.g. do i need any books, like a log book or something?

Please add to list=

= Towels
= Change of clothes..
= ????

Cheers...

Alistair....

Take your RYA powerboat log book which you should have been sent prior to your going on the course and you should have read. Make sure you can tie the 4 main knots, bowline, sheetbend, round turn and 2 half hitches and the clove hitch - so a piece of rope to practise on may come in handy. Your first morning will be classroom based, but they should aim to have you on the water just before lunch.
Also take your own life jacket and make sure the gas bottle is in date and that all is working.
Good luck!

You should have been sent an RYA publication entitled "Powerboat logbook" which contains what is required as well as to "stick" your certificate in. The idea is that you do a certain amount of "home work" prior to the course and knots is one of those things that can be practised at home - with SHMBO perhaps/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
As to life jackets, the school will provide if you don't have your own. You will have to wear them all the time you are on the water.
The course is not that arduos but, if its done properly, there is a lot to pack into 2 days. It took me 4 days to go through what needs to be taught and that included 2 practiacal sessions and the final assesment.
