Inspired by a comment from DougH.... what should those of us new to the Med be putting on our Christmas lists? What don't we have that we are going to need? Kit, Toys etc
Its actually an interesting question without being Med specific... What boaty gear are we asking for for Christmas (or buying for ourselves)?

Jobe Binar 2P two person armchair sledge.

The most popular inflatable toy by far (no naughty comments please:D) and popular with all ages.

Alas the grandchildren have worn out the one we have had for the last six years and I am hoping Santa will bring them a new one.

Agreed, bought one this year after seeing jfm's 3 man version in the summer. It's multipurpose - a good fun towable, a floating sofa, and a bow seating conversion.

Loads of sun cream, after sun and if it's Sant Carles you are coming to plenty of mozzie spray :)

We've had the 4 man version for about 4 years now - great value - we don't tow it much though.
Just use it for G and Ts and lazing around.
Once blown up, it stores vertically on the bathing platform below the cockpit.

It can also be used for keeping watch at sea.

Good choice - the Jobe thing is one of the best toys there is. I'd vote for the 3-er
Click the first video preview on this page and see Joe and Caspar on it (ask your teenage kids who they are!)

Other items:
Seabob F5 from boats.co.uk (also in Caspar/Joe movie)
DJI Phantom 3A
one of those tiny diving bottles that you just grip in your mouth for spontaneous diving; about 3/4 litre
Carbon fibre ensign staff from Petem

Of the various water toys we've acquired over the years, I have to say that the one we seem to use the most is our inflatable sea kayak https://www.seaeagle.com/ExplorerKayaks/380x There are others out there but the Sea Eagle is quite a serious bit of kit that you can use for more than just paddling around the boat. You can also buy a sail kit for it although its useless for tacking against the wind - however great for getting rid of tiresome guests for a few hours;)

Other than that, a bigger anchor and more chain is always a worthwile addition for the Med 'coz you'll be doing a lot of anchoring

+1 on the Seaeagle, I have a fastrack 385 and have had many fun hours.

Im intrigued by the diving bottle idea. Do you use it with the Seabob?
I don't think it's a good idea.
Those small bottles are annoying enough to drag around while you are just swimming.
You're likely to loose your dental bridge, by trying to use one while pulled by a seabob at full speed...!
