Definately think this post is straying away from the sensible limits imposed yesterday- sort of how a Scuttlebutt post naturally progresses sometimes-which is what I like.

No, a SWMBO survey would be useless. Any obvious physical flaws would be detected via a survey but those are usually easily seen by the naked eye anyway. It's the unpredictable internal stress points and different behaviours during flood and ebb tides that tells the SWMBO story.
