What would you buy...

A sail cat for the space required but they are not cheap. Monohull cheaper but doesn't have the space. Mobo requires lots of fuel and as posted above auxiliary tanks wouldn't be ideal in a heavy sea.

Best of luck whatever you choose.

Any thoughts on the Aquastar/Nelson/Halmatic range? I now seem to be able to post, and my earlier replies are embedded within the thread for those who were awaiting reply to questions/suggestions :)

I suppose there is always this option...

Cheapest N40 in Europe is about £300k. Same for N46. All the obvious ocean-going boats (Nordhavn, Kadey Krogan, Selene, Fleming, Seahorse, Bering, etc. etc.) are well outside OP's budget.

But there is this with an asking price of £125k

The drawback is tankage. It is driven by two big Listers so the fuel capacity of 3010 litres might be a bit low for a transatlantic passage. All the serious passagemakers have a single engine.

-)

Thats on the hard at Port Medway Marina been there a good time.
Assuming Im right and its the same boat its now up for 99.5k
