Now that I've used the last of my stock of Duckham's Keenol, what's the best stuff to use these days? (I'm thinking stern tube and seacocks mainly).

Ramonol white grease is sold in the place of Keenol

You might like to consider the merits of Ramonol Advanced White Marine Grease

Keep focus on 'marine' grade. Standard grease, although seemingly so, is not waterproof.

My preference is Pennsoil.

Going by some of the above suggestions, would the white lithium spray grease you get from halfords also come recommended?

It will be interesting to read peoples experiences with spray grease.

I have two types

One is Comma multipurpose grease. It appears to have a high solvent content as it sprays on as a very mobile liquid but that does mean it penetrates well before the solvent evaporates. The description of Halfords own version seems very similar.

The other is a white grease from Toolstation. Its characteristics are quite the opposite . It sprays on with the consistency of whipped cream and very much stays where it lands with no tendency to flow. It is described as having good resistance to salt water.
Comma white grease sounds much about the same as does 3-in-1 white lithium grease.

I bought the multipurpose grease for car locks and hinges, in particular the infamous Clio bonnet catch.

I bought the Toolsation white grease, more recently, to try on the boat and outboards. Not sure it will be as good as the Ramonol white grease

Ramanol works for me
Was great when I had a greased stern tube and more recently (2013) I put some on the sail drive shaft splines in March and it was still evident in November
