What ventures do you have planned

Just sitting on the boat looking at a bottle of Cockburns , kindly donated by BruceK. So do I start early or plan our trips .

Me ? I have trips in the head for :

My MoBo on river .... 2 - 3 - 4 days away trips ... fishing / drinking !! ... BBQ's ...

My 25ft Motor Sailer ... same on river .....

My 38ft Cruiser - Racer Sailboat - is going to cruise Gotland - Swedish Archipelago - Riga Bay etc.

Yes I have plenty of ideas ... remains to be seen how many I actually achieve !!

Plans for 2025 mostly revolve around getting our new-to-us old boat up to scratch cosmetically and doing some local cruising, so will be cruising the South coast of England between Chichester and Weymouth, which seem the likely extents. Hope to get a cross channel cruise to Guernsey or Sark or maybe one of the N France ports eg Honfleur, ideally done in company. Hoping to put on at least 120 hours next year.

Hello, I just joined today. Sailed Java Sea, South African Coast and the Dutch lakes in my younger years. Owned dinghies and yachts up to 33ft. Now 78 and bought a 15ft Shetland motor boat on a trailer to see Sail Amsterdam in August 2025. Does anybody know of a slipway on the Noordzee Kanaal or Zijkanaal C near IJmuiden?

having clocked 2100 hrs in 11 years with our old boat, crusing from Holland to the Skaw, and from south Norway to north of Kalmar Sund we sold our boat beginning of 2022, Only end of 2022 we managed to buy another boat.

Last year was used to get boat "ready" for us, including having whole summer occupied with guests, so only short trips were possible.

The boat is in Croatia very close to the border of Slowenia, and spring this year we start our trip home. That is from Croatia to the Baltic.
A trip that can could be done in 4-5 weeks, and we plan for 4 to 5 years. We plan to cruise only when the weather is fine, and should we have to wait for fair weather so what.

Wife wants to cruise up to Denmark with the boat, will put that off for another year though, also we have been invited to go along on some other extended cruises in company this summer, but no definite plans made just yet.

Once you get to sail the Swedish Archipelago - particularly the Eastern side ... I think you may change your mind ...

Tideless ... good depth .. brackish water .. warm in summer for swimming ... tie up to rocks / trees free of charge ... marinas if you want for fuel etc.

Crossing Baltic :

Small natural harbours ..

Opposite the fuel dock - one of the best Steaks I have ever had !
