Hello,

I am new to the forum and would like some advice.

I have a 13ft Dell Quay Dory that is only kept on a mooring for about 2 weeks a year and the rest of the time is launch and retrieve.

Currently there is anti fouling on the bottom and it is looking untidy so need some advice on what to paint it with.

Would it be best to antifoul it again even though it is out of the water the majority of the time?

the time and energy taken to AF if you are keeping her in the water for 2 weeks is not worth it. A quick wash off with a hose and half a cup of bleach when you get home will keep the bottom smooth.

When I moved my boat to a drystack I covered the antifoul with a waterproof primer. The intention was to put a coat of gloss paint over the top, but I haven't yet got around to it. After two seasons it still looks presentable.

Hi,

Thats what I figured but where I used to have the ratchet straps has worn the AF off, figured I could just touch it up with more AF to make it tidy again.
