What sealant/bonding?

Friends Bav lifted today, (yes the keel was present)

What's the appropriate sealant, bonding, sticky stuff, for the saildrive "plate" in the piccie?

I used a contact adhesive after cleaning off surface. That's the Evostik type stuff although I use Thixofix.
My understanding (confirmed by boatyard) was that the membrane is just to smooth flow and to stop bits going up the hole.
I'd be pleased if anyone else can confirm this.

try CT1 - works well on my hull keel joint.

You can use the very best glue in the world, if the surfaces are not prepared properly you may as well use wall paper paste. I have used ordinary Evo stick for years now and never had a failure. Preparation though has always been surgically clean.
