What parts of ME do I need to measure, before ordering a trapeze harness?

Do you only offer advice if you can be certain it WILL be taken? Surely not? I value your input too, Lakey, but I won't guarantee changing tack according to your advice.
I seem to remember , way back, suggesting freeing the bolt rope. Perhaps we need to repeat things a lot of times.

Sorry Lakey, I certainly had forgotten your mention of the bolt-rope.

My genoa wasn't hoisted that way when we were sailing - and the main didn't look so dismal on the water - they really were just drying, 100 yards from the beach.

Thanks for the 'flattener' info about the upper clew, Iain. It almost certainly is very old, but it's the newer of my two mains!

Whatever you decide on buying a trepeze harness, I would strongly advise that you take your gentleman's tackle into account and depending on how you hang some trapeze are better than others I seem to remember from my Osprey and 470 days! Not that one is bragging of course! :)
