Two favourites for me, first was the conversion of main navigation lighting to full LED and not the bought plug in types, these were made from scratch and without any plug in connections which meant they were all sealed lighting. It was the experimenting that I liked and designing and hand building everything from the reflectors to the angles of the LED's, but I also went mad and carried on and even made several floating torches on a constant charge, and when testing them they still worked after 14 days continually switched on.
Second are the sump modifications, no messing with pumping out through a dipstick hole with its micro bore pipe, straight onto the 1/2" BSP pipe and clean it out properly and not leaving deposits in the bottom of the sump for the future.
