I do not understand why such people would use a French word when "Marke" is available. For the avoidance of doubt, when I drive it is a Derbyshire built Japanese marque or "ブランド "

I have wondered that.

They seem to specialise in old small boats on trailers, paint them a hideous colour then use them as a road block.

They can't tow them with the mast up, so they must tow them to their chosen spot probably early in the morning, unhitch and the tow car scarpers, then they have to pull the mast up. You would have thought by now someone would have caught them "setting up" and put it on you tube?
