When you say which country does it come from, do you mean designed in or built in?
The American designed Offshore range of SD cruisers, the plus 60 footers, are a spectacular vessel in every sense of the word, and are Asian built. Their Quality control is right up to the mark.
The picture appears to be a big boat with a single screw, I couldn't which make. Great engine room though!
Yup, American she is. More pics here.
On a side note, it's amazing how good at marketing they are in Pacific Asian Enterprises: they founded a Company whose name says it all, but kept such a low profile on it that it's even unknown to most boaters.
You're not the first person I heard talking about their boats as American... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Hi Callum, I didn't read your post before posting mine.
I understood Country "built in" as the point of the original question.
Anyway, I beg to partially disagree with your view.
Nordhavn, Marlow and so forth and indeed well built.
But spectacular are other ones, like Wanderbird (the boat I previously linked).
Thats why I'm here, to expand my knowledge on these great boats, I read with great interest the voyage of the Nordhaven from Europe to New Zealand, what fantasic trip!!!
I am hoping to expand questions and theories to understand what makes you boaters tick!!
u r right no one boat has all the answers for everyone but quality is visible to all, I guess
as for Nordhavn I would say this was also an interesting marketing lesson too
