What make are these stern glands

I've packed hundreds of glands in the past, but never one in the water.
If someone was desperate, with no one else to help, access was shockingly great
and the draft wasn't deep, I'd do it. But no one should ever attempt repacking in the water if it's their 1st ever attempt with this task.

On a small shaft with tiny packing and shallow draft, that's how much water you'd expect. On a 2" shaft at 1.2m draft, there may be a dribble more.
......as mentioned only for the brave and perhaps for who those can find a better use for that £500 quid for the lift and block off ?
On a Fairline Turbo 36 1 3/4" and Princess 35 1.5" shaft expect the bilge pump to work twice.
Recall a very good video on YouTube of crew repacking the 12" ? shaft gland on a coaster while in the briny...more than a dribble coming in on that one :)
Everything you need to know a sternglands.

I did, and lived to tell the tale. I must admit I was very relieved to get the first ring in to slow down the torrent of water that was flooding in...

To make life easier for the next time I bought a length of aluminium tubing the same diameter as the shaft so I can accurately cut the rings in comfort before going head first into the bilge to fit them.
