What is this part for?

The sad remains of long dissolved bar anode.
Its the steel securing bar, usually hidden inside the zinc block. ?
Probably to protect the sterngear.
Hopefully there will be a couple more substantial bar anodes under the hull close to the props and shafts to provide anodic protection.
That little absent one alone does not appear capable of doing the job.

Normally summed up as £200.00 quids worth of anode or £2K worth of props.

Hi, yes, it is bondage anode, i think you anode is very smol and bigest is beter...

Examples sitze 305x150mm and weight zink 4,6kg and navaloy alumin 1,4kg, These are found in several different brands, but this performance metallic navalloy aluminum is suitable for all waters and usage age is the same as the zinc anode
