I've had it installed and operational for ages - but I'm still getting the bl%dy ads - which are a distraction and add to the page download time. Grrr.

You probably didn't subscribe to a filter when you installed it.

This time I actually read the instructions in AdBlockerPlus! The top and right banners won't automatically disappear - you have to right-click on the banner(s) and select 'block'

This time I actually read the instructions in AdBlockerPlus! The top and right banners won't automatically disappear - you have to right-click on the banner(s) and select 'block'

Do you? I'm surprised. I would have thought that Easylist would have caught that automatically.

I assume you've checked that you've subscribed to a filter - left click the red octagon and scroll down - you should see the line Filter Subscription followed by hundreds of lines. On mine the filter includes adserv and some others which this site uses.

But I'm not certain because even if I disable ABP the ads are blocked here by various other methods ;-)

I had that privilege .....but did'nt think the prizes were worth bothering about.

Yes, I'd have thought so and that foxed me at first, but to be honest I've reached the limit of my evolutionary ability to understand this technical stuff in any more detail! At least using the right-click trick I've managed to turn all that rubbish off and am a happy camper (happy virtual sailor?) once more.
