What Hypalon cleaning product to use?

My tubes have gradually accumulated a layer of green algae over the years which I would now like to clean off. Are there any recommendations for effective cleaning products out there? Naturally I don't want to damage the tubes which are Hylaplon.

I would start by soaking it and then using TFR (Traffic Film Remover). You can use it neat and used to on my rib but should wear marigold gloves as its strong and takes the oils out of the skin. Diluted not too bad for bare hands.

Just doing up an old Avon now that has been sat in a boat yard all summer full of green water. TRF did a pretty good job with a thick scrubbing pad. Think green pan stuff but on steriods. Soak and then scrub works well.

I've used August Race, BHG's own and Polymarine...they are all good. Don't forget to apply some UV protection afterwards.

Another vote for August Race Liquid RIB, I used some from my boat neighbour last week, I was so impressed, I bought a bottle.

You can use Oxalic Acid straight on to hypalon.

It does a lovely job.

You do need to rinse it all off, but no hurry. Then redo a uv covering.

I tried it 1st on a scap piece, it's good stuff

+1 for Traffic Film Remover. Use it with kitchen scrubbers and magic sponges. Rinse as you do a small section and don’t let it dry in
