The new seats I got cut for the cockpit have a gap along the aft foot or so of their length between the outside edge of the wood and the cockpit coaming.

It is 12mm ply and the gap goes from 2mm to 12mm wide.

I want to fill this gap with something non-tacky and UV resistant.

Suggestions?

If it was a 2mm gap all the way along, I would use CT1.

But I think 12mm is too great a gap to use a filler like CT1.

So I would insert tapered pieces of matching hardwood and glue them in place with epoxy. That would result in the best appearance.

Or, you could fill the gap with thickened epoxy, using a brown filler (or sawdust).
