What electrical connection for new windlass

Taking a new 12v windlass (Gypsy) out to Spain and it has come with just bear ended wires. The old plugs are on the traded in unit so not available. The current is very high in use. Can I use large domestic block connectors? Obviously I would insulate them well against the elements.

I don't think domestic block connectors come that big. Probably not a good idea - can be seriously high currents when pulling up a reluctant anchor with a few waves bouncing you about. If the connections failed you would be in deep doo doo
I am guessing there is a control box on the boat (in the anchor locker or near by) with three threaded studs with a nut on.
If so I would take the new windlass to a proper auto electrician that does lorries and buses and have the correct size ring terminal crimped on.

if not what were the original connections? again auto electrician.

Thanks and I agree with you. I’ve just asked the windlass repair guy (in Scotland) to send me my old connector so I can do an exact replacement.
