What do you recommend for top quality engine mounts

I am looking to replace my Yanmar engine mounts (3YM20 engine), with a top quality vibration absorbent model. What do you recommend and will I notice much of a difference.

Have been looking at these by www.ellebogen.com which look impressive but what else would you suggest I look at?

I replaced those on my 3YM30 with ones from R&D. Fitted well and work great. Not as soft as the original ones but no problem

It's good to see an alternative to the overpriced Yanmar mounts which are inadequately protected and rust badly. I see that the Ellebogen ones use Nordlock washer which are excelllent. I started using Nordlocks after I had a mount work loose and have not had a problem since. It is a pity that neither source goes down to the 1GM size that I need.

They are the same design as the yanmar ones I expect you wont find any discernable difference.

R & D Mounts are pretty stiff I tend to fit those on commercial high hour engines.

My yanmar mounts are 30 years old and doing fine so I dont think apart from the price you can criticise them too much!

@picardy are you replacing to reduce noise or because they are knackered?

You may find better improvements can be made by using a different coupling or shaft seal arrangement.

Best would be to use a Phyton DRIVE (Homocinetic coupling) and you could use any mounts.
This was the best modification I did to the boat. The engine is very quiet...

Bought mine from Parts4engines. You really should buy ones that are correctly rated for your engine. Mine (VP) the front have a different shore value to the aft.
