What dinghy sailing clothing to wear

To be honest, we need more of this! It's bad enough that technology has made modern competitive dinghies bleedin' expensive, we don't need the casual dinghy sailor convinced they need expensive clothing too.

My only concession is a buoyancy aid. I think they're worth wearing.

To be honest, what we need is more warm light wind days when Lakey's attire is appropriate!

(and if just one or two of these days could be at a weekend, that would be better still!)

I quite agree. We have just been pondering on who pinched our summer. Even the early year only had sporadic pleasant weather.
Usually we get blistering weather in March/April followed by a bit of snow then May and June are good before descending into the murk we have at present.
This year it's been pretty constant murk.

Will we get our pleasant September/October or has that gone as well?

Bloody Global Warming. Good job we all planted Mediterranean gardens as we were warned we would need to........

Jeez, guys! They've just bought a Topper to play with - why would they want to spend gazillions on Olympic class gear?

Plastic sandals, cut down jeans & an old cag over a t-shirt plus Bouancy Aid will do while they play about & see if they like it. Perhaps an elastic band over the cuffs of the cag might help. Use what you already have until you KNOW how you are going to use the boat & then decide what you want to wear.

Doesn't ANYONE have any basic commonsense these days? Why is it always "You must buy the very best kit, like I do" willy waving on here?
You'd think we all had to drive BMW4x4's to listen to some on here!

whats an old cag?
